chkconfig problem

Hello Everybody,
I have 3 scripts[entl.sh,eth1.sh,eth2.sh] that i want to run during the bootup process:
1] I dumpped all the three scripts into /etc/init.d

2] I made them executable by giving:
chmod +x entl.sh
chmod +x eth1.sh
chmod +x eth2.sh

3] I entered their names in the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file

4] I issued the "chkconfig --add entl.sh"

But i get the error:

"Service entl.sh does not support chkconfig"

Can anybody tell me why I am getting this error

Regards
KartheeK

Sounds like you did not include the chkconfig configuration comments for runlevels in your scripts.
http://linux.about.com/library/cmd/b..._chkconfig.htm

like
# chkconfig: 2345 20 80

Yes got it, every thing working fine. I added chkconfig comment lines at the start of all my scripts. Example:

# chkconfig: 3 59 52
# chkconfig: bla bla bla

Then i issued,

#chkconfig --add filename

Thankyou
