Smile change window managers xfce to kde

hello every one ,I am working in slcakware 12.2. and i select the xfce window manager when i install this operating system ,when system start up,i just input 'startx',it will start xfce4 ,but ,if i want use kde ,what can i do ? I have try 'startkde' ,but it return 'can't connet to the X window....'
help me ! thanks..

Smile c program create gui window in linux
hi

I am studing C program ,but I don't knoow how to create a gui window
in the linux with gcc. have any function can do this ?

I hear someone said can use gtk, Is that true ?
