Red face Change root and user name and password in Manjaro

Hello,

I am new to Manjaro Linux after using Ubuntu and love the speed increase on my system. However my Son installed it as a dual boot on my laptop from his usb drive and used his user name and password during the instillation. I cannot find an easy way to change this to my own. Would anyone please help with a dummy's guide on how to achieve this to assist an aged noob user.

Thanks Ledge.

if you know his root password then login su password
Code:
passwd userName
give new passwd
confirm
done
issuing this under my user name login (Slackware,it really makes no difference)
Code:
$ passwd
Changing password for userx
Old password:
then I'd just folow the prompts to compete the task...

That advice is fine if you want to change the password, but you also wanted to change the name. For this, follow these instructions
