Change CentOS kernel from AMD to Intel

Hi I am running several CentOS 5.4 and 5.5 virtual machines on an AMD64 based ESX host. I need to move the VM's over to an Intel based host.

I have done this with a test VM, and it seems to boot up fine, but I have read that I may need to change the linux kernel to Intel. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? Thank you!

I'd be willing to bet it will work as long as you go from a 64 bit system to a 64 bit system.

I see no option of the choice for processor other that that.

Thanks jefro, after a little more research, I beleive you are correct. All seems to run okay.
