Centos boot error


Centos boot error

My box is centos 5.3 x86 and at booting I have this error sreen.

So I tried to boot systemrescuecd-x86-1.3.3 and the resut is here.

How could I solve this problem?

I googled the first error message on that image capture:

"memory for crash kernel 0x0 to 0x0 notwithin permissible range"

and I found this thread in the CentOS forum here on linuxquestions.org. Take a look at the troubleshooting recommendations given in the thread.

Hope this helps. At a minimum, it looks like people over on the CentOS forum should be able to provide more specific help regarding this issue.

the "memory for crash kernel 0x0 to 0x0 notwithin permissible range" is not going to cause a crash
it is JUST annoying
the error states that " /sbin/init" is MISSING
that is very bad

can you boot using the centos install dvd in rescue mode ???

and from the system rescue error it looks like you will need to rebuild the logical volumes
i do not use them because they are MORE trouble than they are worth ( except on a HIGH volume production server)

search the forums here for a "LVM guru " there are a few and they might be able to help
