CentOS 5.5 - Samba
hi there!
this is my first post in here.
i'm completely new to linux....i'm running CentOS.
I've successfully installed Samba in my machine...and i'm accessing the shares through windows xp. Every thig is ok, permissions, users, etc....but i still have a small problem....for example....i have a share called [repository]. Only root and me can write, execute and read. The others can ONLY READ.
but...when i login as root (or me) to that share, and when i create (though windows) a empty file (for example) such as a txt file, the permissions of this file aren't the same as the ones i previously set:root and me ->wrx and others->r.
So...i want to set a samba configuration that let me create files with a standard permission.
was i clear?
thanks in advanced and forgive my naivety
Francisco.
