Cant Unmount cd to install disk 2


Ok, dumb question im sure ill get a bunch of answers that will be chinese to me, ok I am installing Unreal Tournament 2004 on suse 9.0 pro, I did this on fedora core 2 easily by simply clicking unmount at some disk manager screen or something i cant find that on suse, when it ask me to insert disk 2 to continue installation it wont Unmount or eject becuase it is busy i tried terminal via SU ro root then umount /media/cdrom -f that dient work just said its busy as well, any suggestions ???

I read the other post and it does not help me.

I'm on suse 9.0 and not using wine because UT2k4 has a linux install included. I can't um mount or eject and i cant figure out how to stop the konsole from looking at the CD drive.

The procedure should be similar with wine or with an installer. I've not tried UT2k4, but UT2k3 had an installer on the third disk (called install-sh or something like that). If he same goes to UT2004, do the follow:

1 - Copy the installer (install-sh) from your cd to your HD...

2 - Eject/Umount the CD, as usual.

3 - Put the first disk on the drive (do _not_ mount it, the installer should take care of it) and run, as root, you install-sh from your HD (sh install-sh).

UT2k3 installer managed to mount and umount the devices automatically, hopefully that will work for you as well
