cant boot usb stick created with portable linux
Hi,
I created a portable, live linux distro (kubuntu 8.10) on a USB flash drive using the "portable linux" software that creates a bootable USB stick from a .ISO image however it wont seem to boot from the USB. The computer comes up with an error indicating that no bootable operating system is present on the USB stick. I have had a look at the files on the USB stick and the following file casper-rw is present along with the directory "boot". In the boot directory are the files initrd.gz and vmlinuz and the "grub" directory whcih contains a nuber of files including menu.lst, default and grub.conf among others. Should any other files be present? Any help would be much apeciated.
Cheers.
