cannot get plexydesk to work ubuntu 13.04 ringtail

ppa to get ubuntu to pick up the package which I thought worked until I used apt-get update and recieved this message
'Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/plexydesk/p...amd64/Packages 404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/plexydesk/p...-i386/Packages 404 Not Found'

Then I tried it with software updater and recived "Failed to download repository information. Check your internet connection." So I went into the software updater and unchecked "http://ppa.launchpad.nt/plexydesk/plexydesk-dailybuild/ubuntu raring main" and I was able to update again.
Will plexydesk work in ubuntu 13.04 ringtail? What about myunity? I can not get that to work either, they both seem to have the same problem.
Thank you

I visited the plexydesk website and received the attached graphical message stating version 0.7 is not available on the GNU/Linux platform. This my be the source of your problem.

Also:
do you understand how to modify the /etc/apt/sources.list file to include the repository in question in apt-get?

see GitHubfor help with compiling from github

More than you were hoping for, I know, but . . . so go third-party Linux packages!

Thank you
Your input was helpful. I abandoned trying to use plexydesk. I am thinking of moving away from Ubuntu at the moment because of unity issues. I think I will be moving to Debian.
Again thank you

What are some distros that you like? At the moment I am just looking for desktops with eye candy, user friendly, and small in weight.
