Cannot get online / Flash drives are not recognized help anyone

I cannot access the web/ wireless internet...not my flash drives are being recognized. Help anyone??

Are you sure your usb drives are not being recognized? It is possible the machine sees them but is not mounting the drives. A quick was to find out is to simply open a command terminal and run lsusb and see if you see the drive listed. If you find out the drive is being recognized but not mounted then you can just manually mount it.

you may need to run it as root or use sudo. You did not specify which distribution of Linux you are using. Try this

sudo lsusb
or

Code:
su
*enter your root password*
lsusb
