cannot edit dir mounted by autofs

Hi All,
I am unable to create or edit files mounted via autofs.

The server:
192.168.0.100
firewall diabled

/etc/exports file as follows:
/nuhome/sumdir/sumusr *(rw)

The client:
192.168.0.101
firewall diabled

/etc/auto.master
/nuhome/sumdir/sumusr /etc/auto.misc

/etc/auto.misc
nuhome -rw,fstype=ext3 192.168.0.100:/nuhome/sumdir/sumusr

#mount
show the /nuhome/sumdir/sumusr mounted.

#touch /nuhome/sumdir/sumusr/tst
responds with:
touch: cannot touch `/nuhome/sumdir/sumusr/tst': permission denied.

permissions on the directory 777.

I am curious how to overcome this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Steve

Has sumuser (which ever account run automounter) got the same UID on both boxes?
I don't use nasty things like that so can't find out for you ;}

Cheers,
Tink
