Well, a title like "can anyone help me?" can easily dis-encourage others from not viewing the post. Also, before posting, please search in the forum for similar threads. It will save a lot of time.

Go to http://tldp.org and get "Bash Guide for Beginners" and the "Advanced Bash Scripting Guide".

Once a shell script is written it is used like any other system command. Other languages typically have something like a "system" call to run system commands. Your Java documentation will have this.
