Can't mount filesystem

Hi everybody.

I have just installed Knoppix 3.3 (Debian) on my PIII PC and everything's working fine. I logged in as root and mounted my two old Windows partitions (FAT32) and could see them, OK. But in my personal user I can't mount anything neither see my partitions. I made an "su" and logged as root, mounted the filesystem again in /mnt/hda1 and "su - user" then tried to access /mnt/hda1 and I got permission denied. I tried chmodding 764, even 777 and permissions DON'T CHANGE (as root) I also tried chgrping it to a new group where root and user are the only ones and I can't, can't, CAN'T access the filesystem. What can I do? thanks.

Jose.

You can use the search

This is one of the most frequently asked
(and answered, for that matter) questions
on LQ.

Cheers,
