Hi everybody,

I am very new to Linux. I am using cygwin on my laptop which has windows 7. I want to run some fortran programs. These programs use netcdf. I have installed netcdf as described on the link:

I am trying to compile a simple program available on netcdf website; namely, simple_xy_rd.f90

I am using following command to compile the program

gfortran simple_xy_rd.f90

but it is giving error which says:

use netcdf

fatal error: can't open module file 'netcdf.mod' for reading at <1>: no such file or directory

I have the file netcdf.mod on the following path:
C:\cygwin\home\laptop\netcdf-3.6.3\f90

I will be very grateful if someone please let me know how should I compile the program.
