can't compile kernel with agpgart as module

Hello

I'm about to compile a new kernel, and I can't change the option /dev/agpgart to be compiled as module. It says [YES], so I guess I'll get support for my graphics card, but why can't I choose module? Is there some other option that "blocks" the option to compile it as a module?

Thanks for any help

Some stuff can't be compiled as a module, it's either in or out. I'm not sure if agpart fits into this category, but it's the only thing I can think of.

It probably has to do with one of the other options being selected as compile-in. I know that on one of my systems, if I eve select a certain option to be compiled in, other options are gone altogether, so there is some interdependency throughout the configuration. I'd recommend just compiling it in anyway, as there's no real reason not to.
