buggered my rh9

i've been messing around trying to upgrade my pango to install the GIMP, and was having trouble, then i rpm -e'd the current pango rpm, and now can't get into X. The rpm is on the rh9 cd, but i can't get into my cd drives from the console (if i ls in /mnt/cdrom or cdrom1 i get nothing). My box doesn't have afloppy on it either, so how can i get into my cdrom drives to reinstall the pango rpm? thanks

Did you mount the cd before running ls /mnt/cdrom?
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
