can somebody tell me how to create a boot diskette in knoppix 3.3... thanks

Hi,

check the man page for mkbootdisk
run this command:
man mkbootdisk

it will through up a manual page...... which will help you

thanks, but there is no available manual entry for mkbootdisk in knoppix 3.3. are you sure it is for knoppix 3.3???

I have not tried it on knoppix...... did u see the command mkbootdisk? maybe the man pages are not installed.

try running
# which mkbootdisk

if the binary is there, run
# uname -r

and then

# mkbootdisk <output of uname -r>

u should be able to create the bootdisk
