blu ray player not playing copied dvd's


I use K9 copy to back up some movies for my personal use....I just bought a blu ray player (LG) and I see it will not play anything I have copied..only store bought originals...anyone know why this is?...thanks

have you tried playing in some normal dvd player or other bly ray player? maybe you didn't copy dvds correctly? the proper procedure would be to make an iso and than burn it to dvd with k3b or brasero, that are "regular" burning apps.

If these are commercial DVDs and you just copied them, it's probably copy protection (e.g. CSS) that's stopping the copies from playing.

As a first troubleshooting step, take your originals that you backed up and see if those will play in the new player.
