Probably so. I guess relatively reliable would be a better term. I had xp with almost no hard drive space left and even then it would usually only overheat with resource heavy tasks. Booting off of slacko has not caused it to overheat at all. I'm not expecting to install a distro and suddenly have the ability to run a flight simulator but I think it will at least let me browse the Internet and edit pictures without overheating.
