Great, then go out to Google, put in "linux bash script", press ENTER, and see THOUSANDS of examples.

The bash manual is an essential reference but not the best introduction except for someone with a good knowledge of computer language(s).

The GNU Bash Reference Manual is pretty much the man page with the advantage of a table of contents.
