bash problem

After i installed openSSL, i was advised to logout from root, an after that i logged in again. I tried the openssl command, and openssl worked, but when i wanted to use wget and download php, bash didnt find the command.

with the root user i can't use any commands, like reboot, nano wget. But with a normal user i can. Whats wrong?

It sounds like you have not got your PATH variable set correctly - what does the output of this show:
echo $PATH
