Azureus installation directory MUST be in $PATH ??

Hi,

I installed azureus (the motif version).

the files were installed in directory:

/usr/local/src/azureus

I created a softlink in: /usr/local/bin
(ln -s /usr/local/src/azureus/azureus /usr/local/bin )

but anyway, to execute azureus I have to be in directory:

/usr/local/src/azureus (cd /usr/local/src/azureus)

and execute: ./azureus

otherwise azureus complains (and don't start).

I would like to be able to run azureus just by typying: azureus, and not having to go everytime to its installation directory (or having to add the azureus directory to my $PATH)

Can somebody help me with that problem ? what should I do ?

thanks in advance

Hi,

thanks for the suggestion. I tried it yesterday but it didn't work

first, i included: /usr/local/src/azureus/azureus to file: /etc/ld.so.conf
(the binary file is located in directory /usr/local/src/azureus/azureus)

then i executed the command: ldconfig
no error messages,

finally I executed: azureus
but I got an error message ( i think it was the same error message as before)

more ideas to solve the problem ?

regards,

"I created a softlink in: /usr/local/bin"
make a soft link in /usr/bin
or any one of the PATH defined

run

env|grep PATH

and u will get the PATH variable
