Automatic Knoppix save config?

Is there a way such that Knoppix will automaticaly save my configurations to sda1 whenever I log out? I'm pretty much just using Knoppix to do Computer Science homework on, and I fear that I will forget to save my configuration (all of my work is saved on my desktop) when I logout... and nothing will be saved.

just append the save-config command to whatever command you are using to logout...

how are you logging-out? if it's by using a logout button then perhaps you can edit the buttons properties or something...

The only way I think you could do it, is to create a "persistant home" on your sda1 drv. This should save all your data to sda1and not the ramdisk, however, any system changes you would still have to use "save configuration"

once it is created at the prompt type:
boot: home=scan
or
boot: home=/dev/sda1

I have not tried this, but it should work.
