app installation


I want to install sqitch in ubuntu 14 LTS
https://sqitch.org/

As per documentation , I run this

ubuntu@ip-xx-xx-x-xxx:~$ sudo apt-get install sqitch
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package sqitch
ubuntu@ip-xx-xx-x-xxx:~$

Can you please help with the installation commands

The message you get is telling you that software is not available in the Ubuntu repositories. Since 14.04 support will end next month, you might try using a current Ubuntu such as 16.04 or 18.04.

Sqitch is available in the distro repositories for both Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04:

I can't upgrade OS to 16.

Is there any solution in ubuntu 14 ?

And you will be content that your system will soon not be supported and therefore vulnerable?

The page you linked to mentions docker, cpan and cpanminus alternatives - have you tried them?
