another wine problem

Well i got wine working!
Used the rpms packages that come with mandrake 10.0
I copied a game, solder of fortune 2 from a friend and it works fine, except the sound laggs like hell during the game.
I tryed removing the ':' before hardware emulation but that didnt work at all.
Is there an option anywhere to increase the sound buffer or something? I think that might be the problem but not sure.
I'm using the OSS drivers, and sound works great in mandrake.
