AmaroK to Ipod and mounting..?

Alright..First off when i looked in the newbie section for linux, i felt really stupid because they look like pro's to me. Anyways, im trying to simply move songs from Amarok to my new Ipod Nano 2gb (dunno wat generation tho) anyways, i know like..very little about Linux. I am very used to Windows and thats all i ever knew until my evil dad enforced linux in our home. i dont mind linux really, its just you have to rerout almost everything to be able to do anything on it..but thats another story..

Like i said i dont know much about linux, but i have the CNR thing and i read somewhere that this is the best one to use to put songs and such on your iPod. So there i am reading a tutorial on how to do all this, and i press the connect in the "media device" section on AmaroK. Now the trouble is, i keep getting the "Could not find devixe, Please mount and try again." alert. now the icon on my desktop shows up and everythin when i plug it into the USB port and everything, but when i right click it, it gives me a command to unmount it. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that if it gives me the option to "unmount" it, it must already be mounted. Now for some reason, it wont work. can someone like explain how to do this like your explaining it to a first-grader? Seriously i really dont know any of those command things or how to mount it or even what the heck that even means or even how to do anything, so if someone could explain it very easily for me i would be MUCH appreciated. Or maybe theres some easier way to do this process? Anything? Thanks!

Anyway
You can install gtkpod and then mount your ipod in rw mode thru fstab and transfer all the mp3's you like

I feel your pain. It's like starting all over. If it's mounted, Josh, you should be able to double click on that icon and browse it. I recommend gtkpod too. It's not flashy but it will do. It may already be installed. If not get your dad to help you do it.
