Alias Definitions
I have a pretty simple question about defining aliases. There are couple of commands that I would like to setup an alias for, and I know that I can define one immediately, but whenever I shutdown that particular shell, the aliases are no longer there.
I believe that these files are stored in the .bashrc file (I'm using just gnome term), but I can't seem to find this file. I have searched for it with no luck. A more straightforward approach to the question:
When I type 'alias' it displays the current aliases defined for the shell. Where is the file that stores that information?
I have searched the threads and found nothing as simple and exact as this, so I apologize if I am wasting anybody's time, but this is my first post.
Any help would be appreciated.
