Alert appearing upon startup

This appears as soon as I boot up on Ubuntu Gnome. Any idea of how to change that?

Did you install some kind of email program that starts up on boot? I'm no expert here at all but I know what apache and certain other authenticating programs need security certs sometimes and if you aren't careful about which certificate you provide, sometimes a password is required to decrypt the private key before using the cert.

You could try looking in your log files for a failed authentication. I'm not sure which one, but I'd start with /var/log/syslog.

^ good point, it should ask for user password first, so this basically comes up after login.
but i'm fairly sure it's the standard password managing / keyring app that gnome has been using for a decade.

that's because it's some password managing app asking for it, and not the email app itself.
have you used that email app before? created an "Email" account? if yes, i'd say it's safe to enter that password and put a check for keyring.
you still have to enter your user password, right?

Thanx guys, however my system kept on crashing, and while I was upgrading to Ubuntu GNOME 15.10, it crashed again. This meant I had to wipe Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 completely (with all my files) and install 15.10 with a DVD. Although that means that this problem has gone, the crashing is still here. This doesn't happen in Windows 10 (dual-boot).. any suggestions?
