After re-install RedHat, memory becomes only 250M?

Before I re-install the redhat system, the memory is 8G. My system crashed so I have to re-install it. I download software from redhat.com and installed it.

But I found it only has 250M memory, the whole system is very slow. How can I deal with it?

Thank you for your help.

Get your memory checked using memtest or something. Sounds like a
hardware fault to me.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I went to BIOS, in "Memory info", it shows

"Installed memeory" is 8.0GB,
"Mmeory speed" 667Hz,

and each slot has been installed 1 2G memory stick. but the type in each slot row shows "Unbuffered". Is it the problem?
