Add a new user who can access all sites

Hi

i have a server which is setup with WHM and cpanel.

in /home/ all users exist where each user has a public_html for websites.

I want to add a user who can access all sites on FTP. For this I did the following,

1 - adduser username
2 - change the user group to wheel group by editing /etc/group file
3 - edit the /etc/passwd and .bash_profile file of the user to point to /home/ as home for the user

4 - I also chmod 775 /home/

now when I login with this user on FTP it still shows me /home/username/ and not /home/ with all sites.

Can anybody guide me please how can I achieve this?

thank you very much

The user should have permission to navigate to all sites in the /home directory however with the permissions you have given. When logging in the FTP client should go to the home directory of the user as specified in the /etc/passwd file. There could be a setting in your FTP client to use a different home directory and you could set that there...
