Exclamation Acer + Wireless Cards

I've been going at this since I got home today. I installed ndiswrapper. I'm duelbooting open suse 10.1 and Windows XP home. I have a Broadcom 4318 wireless card and a Acer 5000 laptop. When I do ndiswrapper -l I get
Code:
Installed drivers:
bcmwl5          driver installed, hardware present
ndiswrapper -m gives me:
Code:
modprobe config already contains alias directive
I set up the network card in Yast -> Network Devices -> Network Card.
I'm extremely lost. I tried using google for help but I ended up even more confused.
Thanks.

Hmmm..............

I also have an Acer 5000 laptop (Aspire 5000) and the wireless works just fine.

First, why are you attempting to add the Windows driver again (ndiswrapper -m) it is already added (ndiswrapper -l shows this)??

Maybe this will help;
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...ributions#SuSE
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...roubleshooting

And maybe; http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/forums/

Stupid question, but have you modprobed ndiswrapper? Does iwconfig see the card (post output here)? If all you need is to turn the divice on, just type ifconfig "name-of_your_device" up. Good luck.

PS : http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...dex.php/List#B ; it should tell youmost info you need to know about your card (check the revision)
