I know that in the environmental variables we have:

And, :0 means the first display geberated by X server.
I was reading through the net, but the explanations about X server are so vague for me. Could anyone explain what Xserver and DISPLAY=:0 means in a simple way?

I'm not sure why it is set to that, It may be set for the console and no network communications are being used. I do know for example, if you wanted to run a xsession remotely with say xming or a commerical package such blue zone x via a ssh connection or xterm connection on your windows device (or another linux device on the network) you would set the ip address of the remote client launching the session or program in the string.

E.g. export DISPLAY=192.168.3.100:0

This would tell x / allow communictaion for x to use that client ip address, which is your corporate mandated in standards Windows desktop/laptop.
