Dear experts,

Again, the subject line says it all. The sound card is there but mute...
Kind of urgent when you need video-conferencing and the boss is breathing down your neck

Hi maya_stavrianakou, Welcome to lq. What does alsamixer say about the device? Have you tried any of the mixers? What does lspci-v and lsmod say?
