[Help: fc4 ]USB Modem + ATI drivers

ok first off this is the system i currently am running FC4 with

AMD 2500XP -M (2.3 ghz oc) processor
ATI 9700 PRO
ABIT NF7-S MOBO W/ NFORCE2 chipset
Sound Blaster Live
Creative modem blaster DE5670 ( USB / 56k )

1) My first problem is getting linux to reconize my modem which is
Creative modem blaster DE5670 ( USB / 56k )

2)my second problem is with the ATI drivers if anyone knows which one I should install, because i have tried 1 before and it totally fucked up FC4 and i had to reinstall, Is there a direct link to what one i should install?

3) I think problem 2 is the reason when I load Wolfenstein ET it just goes blank to desktop.
