[Arch] Installation question...

I'm on the step from this link https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GRUB#Create_an_ESP

Where it says : First, tell GRUB to use UEFI, set the boot directory and set the bootloader ID. Mount the ESP partition to e.g. /boot or /boot/efi and in the following change esp to that mount point (usually /boot)

I just installed grub using /boot instead of the variable esp...
I've put in esp=/boot in my /root/.bashrc, but it didn't recognize the variable...

Is there any tips on how to set the variable esp to /boot?
(Maybe I'm missing refreshing bash AND/OR sourcing it again)

I am not sure I follow your issue. On reading the information it is saying that you change the 'esp' variable shown to what you want and NOT that you create any variables.
Code:
and in the following change esp to that mount point (usually /boot):

# grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=esp --bootloader-id=grub
So you are not creating the variable esp, you are directly replacing it in that line of code that you should type / copy to your command line

Yes. I don't know exactly what that statement is saying,
but I did /boot and then also did $esp after sourcing .bashrc and it worked.
