what is ttyACM0????


when i connect my mobile phone (Samsung) to my laptop, i can really see that
ubuntu shows /dev/ttyACM0

My aim is to connect internet through Samsung mobile phone.
how can i use internet with ttyACM0????? coz i know if the ttyACM0 is present no need of usbmodeswitch.

...where you were asked questions, and didn't answer them. Such as, what kind of mobile phone, and what version/distro of Linux. You mention Ubuntu, but what version? And again, spell out your words.

Have you tried running wvdialconf? Does it pick up the /dev/ttyACM0 device? If not, you can try to link it to a tty device, like "ln -s /dev/ttyACM0 /dev/modem", and re-running wvdialconf.
