Vista users can not change pasword when expired in Samba 3.0.10-1.4E.12.2

Vista users can not change password when expired (or if they just feel like it) in Samba 3.0.10-1.4E.12.2

Where can I change the expiration settings for immediate relief from this problem, any ideas on a long term solution. I have tried changing the protocols that the vista pc talks to the network but that hasn't helped??

thanks
