Using FT Livebox with NAT and DynDNS
Banging my head against a wall a little with this one so any suggestions welcome.
Am using a FT Sagem Livebox to provide my internet connection. I have four computers linked to this (three Linux boxes and an iBook) via a switch. All works fine using a mix of static IPs and DHCP.
The problem is that I am trying to configure NAT/Port forwarding so that I can reach a server on the LAN running Apache from outside the private LAN. I have DynDNS setup and am using the auto update function for DynDNS built into the livebox (which works perfectly).
As far as I know I have setup forwarding correctly, basically, adding a LAN server and entering its IP and port. This doesn't work, when I try to access the DynDNS domain I actually get the Livebox admin page (default passwords have been changed however) - VERY BAD from a security point of view! From this I would deduce that forwarding is not working but DynDNS is.
Has anyone got any experience with this situation and if so I would be grateful for any pointers - web searches/google has taken me to a few dead ends but no working solution...
