What exactly do you mean by 'use VPN'? Do you want to setup a VPN server in Debian 6 or use a VPN client to connect to a remote network using a VPN connection?
That being said, LQ is not the place to turn to for step by step guides and howtos. You'll find us at our best when you try a guide you've found on the internet for example, and are having trouble with it.
There are lots of setup guides available on the internet. If you use Gnome you might have a look at one of the plugins for the software package you're going to use.
There are also plugins available for other desktop environments. If you're going to connect to a Cisco VPN gateway you might have the best results with vpnc.
