Hi,
I used from several months, a Belkin F5D7010 wifi card on a old armada E500.
No matter for web surfing except if I want to upload big files.
That card is set with ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant under OpenSuse 11.3.
So, in the mind to fix that matter, I tried different things inside my own lan without any great success too!
By using FTP and SCP I tried to send a file with a size of 16498174 bytes. Both protocols stalled close 10M. So, I tried to use different values of MTU, no more change.
I think, those stallings are probably due to ndiswrapper.
Do you have any idea ?
I've found a solution ...
First, I upgrade my kernel to the lastest release (3.0.3).
I tried one more time realtek drivers as mentionned in a previous reply, no way.
With the rtl8180 module, the pcmcia card is detect and set, but it's impossible to have a working network, just the power led is light, when I try the 'iwlist wlan0 scanning' I get a 'No result found' message.
With rtl8185 (r8185b) and rtl8187, no thing moves, no activity led, no device found.
So, the only working solution consist to use ndiswrapper with that card (1799:701F).
Finally with the lastest kernel and the lastest ndiswrapper sources, no matter at all. My uploads are not interrupted.
