hello ,

i have winXP Pro with red hat linux 9 on my box which is connected to the campus wide lan. the lan and all other networking stuff is working correctly on WinXP but when i boot in to linux i am unable to use any network service on my machine.
i have tried to ping all those nodes, which were responding when i ping through winXP, but got no response in linux.
i have checked the ifconfig and it is showing eth0 UP and working. i am confused what could be the problem????

Perhaps if you provided your interface and route configs for both distros
contributors would have more to go on?
eg.
Is your XP network DHCP or static?
What have you setup in RH so far?
# ifconfig -a
# route -n
