Pretty sure inxi works in Ubuntu

Can you use USB tethering to the smart phone to connect the computer to the internet?

Firstly folks, this is being written on my Linux machine.

I gave in to the struggle and acquired a USB wifi dongle, and with your guidance, got it up an running quite quickly.

Now that I see this site on the desktop, i see various of my posts did not reach the site.

Sorry for that.

Thank you for your patience, it's been a slog.

Thank you for your guidance too because I turned to that when I rebooted with the wifi dongle in place, and then ran those commands to both find and connect.
