trying to route though Cisco VPN client.

OK here is an odd one for you.

I have a box running a modified version of IPCOP 1.4.4 that is setup to work with a V620 EVDO card as the modem (red connection).
the green connection is a standard NIC (CAT5) interface.
the box has to dial out and connect to the internet ( which it is doing) then using a VPN client, currently the cisco client, connect to a remote VPN and create a tunnel.
now all this works BUT..... when I connect the VPN i lose connection to the box though the NIC.
I need to be able to have 2 or more systems connect though this box and then route though the VPN, anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
my guess is it's binding the VPN to both the NIC and PPP1 when I just want it bound to PPP1, would anyone know how to check for this and or fix the Cisco client so i can get this working???

any help would be appreciated.

While I did get this working so far i'm still a when it comes to linux and still learning how to do things in there. google has been a good friend on this journey so far, so please use the long answer over the short one to help me understand

thanks

Pose the question to your network admin - the default Cisco VPN client policy disables LAN access - split tunneling are key words.

Well, I don't think you will be able to establish LAN-to-LAN VPN IPsec tunnel in such scenario. My previous post was regarding an issue, when you connect via VPN tunnel you loose access to your own LAN (split tunneling configuration on the far side takes care of it).
