tl-wn722n usb wifi wicd


hi i have backtrack 5 r3 and install to VMware Player ( nat option in vmware )i run backtrack and wicd not showing wireless networks.
if run airmon-ng show (wlan0 - atheros AR9271 - ath9k- (phy0) ) what i do to work to find wifi to wicd ?

Hi,

you will only see the simulated wired network device. If you want to talk to the real harware install your OS on the real hardware not on VMware Player.

As far as I understand VMware does at some level support usb device passthrough to the guest machine, but you didn't say anything about usb in your previous post.

I think it might help if you restate what your problem is.

Also please note that backtrack is obsolete and has been replaced by kali linux.

1. what is the setting for backtrack wicd ?

2. when i am the backtrack and run gerix , fern show me network .

3.the wicd not detecting wifi only the wired- defautl what i do ?
