Question the equivalent of /etc/network/interfaces in Ubuntu on Fedora?

Hi,

I m using Ubuntu Edgy Eft on my laptop. The /etc/network/interfaces file defines all the network interfaces and their respective connections. Thus the details of the wireless network that i m connected to show up -- i.e the SSID and the network key.

I need to configure the same wireless network on a laptop with the Fedora core on it -- what is the equivalent file name/location and format of writing to this file?

Thank you,
Ashlesha.

The location of the files would be in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

Here is my ifcfg-eth0 file as an example of what it looks like:

# Intel Corporation 82562EZ 10/100 Ethernet Controller
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=none
HWADDR=00:13:20:5E:C0:47
ONBOOT=yes
DHCP_HOSTNAME=balthasar.benhome.com
TYPE=Ethernet
USERCTL=no
IPV6INIT=no
PEERDNS=no
IPADDR=172.16.3.3
NETMASK=255.255.255.192
GATEWAY=172.16.3.1

Hi,

Thanks for your reply -- its v useful --

the interfaces file in Ubuntu also lists the SSID and the WEP encryption key of the network that I am tryign to connect to -- is there a way to list the above information in this file or somewhere else on Fedora?
