SUSE 10 Modem problems

I'm new to linux and I am having trouble installing the modem. I don't know where to link the thing. I know on a windows machine it is in COMM port but I don't know what it is on here. and yah...i just don't know where to start. if anybody could help that would be great.

Windows comm1 = Linux ttyS0
comm2 = ttyS1
comm3 = ttyS2
comm4 = ttyS3

From the Kde menu, start Control Center. Then select Yast Modules -> Network Devices => Modem. Click on the Administrator Mode button at the bottom of the screen, then supply root password. Yast should configure it for you.

If I remember correctly, you will be prompted for ISP info such as user name and password.
