Question Starting dhcp when booting

Hi,

I have a debian system installed. Had to compile a driver for my network card to get it working. My problem is that I can't seem to get dhcp to work from boot. Each time I boot my machine, I cannot connect to the internet until I type pump at the command prompt, ater which everything works just fine. How can I set up my system so that my network connection works from the start after rebooting my pc?

edit your /etc/rc.d/init.d/network script.

if you 'cd' to /etc/rc.d/init.d and then type
'grep pump *' there might even be a pump command listed in one of the scripts so that you can just uncomment it and be on your way.
