Unhappy ssh to get port configuration of one box/server


i am going to use ssh (putty) to get the port configuration of one box/server in WAN. I already have the IP Address of that box/server. The problem is I do not have the knowledge on what command to used in order to get the port configuration when inside the linux command prompt. can you help me step by step? thanks a lot.

You need to more accurately define "port configuration"...

I want to get the the port number or slot and port number for each port installed in the switch (for example, A1 means the first port in slot A).

I also want to get the information if the port is configured for trunking, the display appends a Trk<n> label to the port name to identify the trunk to which the port belongs. For example, A1-Trk1 means that port A1 has been assigned to trunk 1.
