ssh remote forwarding

Hi!

A friend and I are trying to forward a ssh tunnel from my machine which is behind my ISPs NAT to a port on his machine.

We issue the command:

ssh -g -N -R 2222:localhost:2222 -l frax myfriendsmachine

And it works fine, but we can only ssh to my server through my friends box like

ssh localhost -p 2222 -u myuser

Does anyone know why the tunnel is not accessible to everyone?

Thanks for your time=)

Take a look in his sshd_config file and make sure that the following line is set:
GatewayPorts yes

This will bind forwarded ports to all of his interfaces and not just teh loopback. If that still doesn't work then make sure he doesn't have any firewall blocking port 2222.
