My friend just installed Redhat 8.0 on my Panasonic Toughbook, then promptly was deployed to the Persian Gulf. I was wondering, can any of you walk me through a step-by-step procedure on how to setup this system with a Sanyo 4900 phone, so I can use Sprint PCS Vision. I have tried following the directions at this website: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=0...thread&tid=100
but do not understand what the following procedure is.
Dunno if this will help, but I have the Sprint PCS connection card running under Linux. I would imagine the PPP setup and AT commands may be roughly the same.
I haven't tried it yet, but this may help. I'm going to give it a shot within the next two weeks and I will post a reply stating whether it worked or not:
I realize it points to the same site that is mentioned in the Slashdot article, but if it works I want people who are trying the same thing to have a direct link to the site.
